Introducción
Driving Distance Calculator — Estimated road distance and driving time when no routing API is available. Enter Origin latitude, Origin longitude, Destination latitude, Destination longitude, Routing factor, Average speed (km/h) to get an instant, accurate result.
Fórmula
Straight-line distance is calculated with the Haversine great-circle formula, then scaled by a routing factor (default 1.3×) — a commonly cited approximation that real road distance runs roughly 20–30% longer than a straight line, since roads bend around terrain, cities, and infrastructure. Driving time = estimated road distance ÷ average speed (default 100 km/h). This is an approximation, not a turn-by-turn routed distance.
Paso a paso
- Enter the Origin latitude.
- Enter the Origin longitude.
- Enter the Destination latitude.
- Enter the Destination longitude.
- Enter the Routing factor.
- Enter the Average speed (km/h).

Ejemplo del mundo real
Example: With Origin latitude = 37.7749, Origin longitude = -122.4194, Destination latitude = 34.0522, Destination longitude = -118.2437, Routing factor = 1.3, Average speed (km/h) = 100, the Driving Distance Calculator gives Straight Line Km: 559.1206, Estimated Road Km: 726.8568, Estimated Road Mi: 451.6477.

Acerca de Calculadora de Distancia en Coche
The Driving Distance Calculator uses a real, verifiable formula — Straight-line distance is calculated with the Haversine great-circle formula, then scaled by a routing factor (default 1.3×) — a commonly cited approximation that real road distance runs roughly 20–30% longer than a straight line, since roads bend around terrain, cities, and infrastructure. Driving time = estimated road distance ÷ average speed (default 100 km/h). This is an approximation, not a turn-by-turn routed distance. — so results are accurate every time, not an approximation.
